Lack of motivation...

Here it is, 10am and I'm still sitting in my pajamas. Yes, my pajamas (hanging head in shame). I felt a little sick this morning so I decided to take things slowly. Well, now, I'm feeling better but have no motivation. I need some advice from any blog readers out there: what do you do to get motivated on those inevitable "off" days?

I'm off to at least get dressed and get something done. I will check back in and report my progress. :)

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. We seem to have a lot in common. I'm glad to find a blog of another stay-at-home-wife and also fellow South Carolinian!(What part of SC are you from?)Reading through your archives made me remember the early days of our marriage too when I tried to work full-time and always felt so guilty about not being able to balance work and husband and home. (We were married October 2, 2004.)
As far as not feeling motivated, I have those days too, as I'm sure most women have. Some days I do better than others. :-) I do the best if I get up at a regular time and carry out my schedule that way. If I just can't get motivated, I sometimes go for a short walk and that will help me feel better and ready to tackle something. Or set my timer and do at least 1 or 2 small homemaking tasks. (Wash dishes. Fold laundry. Vacuum or sweep.)Anything to get me started!

Hi MaryAnn,

We do seem to have a lot in common! We live in western SC, right near the GA border. We are from GA originally. Lord willing, I'd love to go back "home" someday. But, for now, this is where the Lord has us.

Thanks for reading my blog!
